A purebred Shorthorn carcass bred by McKay Bros Marschay Shorthorns, was awarded the Grand Championship at this week's Royal Melbourne Show.
The winning carcass, with a score of 92.95 points, came from a steer prepared and exhibited by Longerenong Agricultural College, Victoria. The entry was recognised as Champion Heavy Domestic Carcass prior to taking the award for the best exhibit on the hook at the 2009 show.
